I've never paid much attention to what ball I used until I tried the new soft feel balls from Srixon. You really can tell the difference. They make other balls feel like bricks from the tee. I've taken 3 shots off my game - consistantly - since using these balls. They are great from tee to green. Pro's would always say to me that you have to 'feel' the shot and I never understood this until I got hold of the soft feel balls. Take a chance - you'll be surprised.
